More than a Tutor - A Mentor

"For many years my son struggled at school in multiple subjects, having some slight disabilities, he did not relate as well to other classmates as the mainstream child would and was the focus of being "put down". We went through many various channels for support, including state programs, study Tutors, sports programs along with self esteem programs. None seemed to connect with our son nor did we see meaningful results. About two years ago, we then decided to focus on one of his weaker areas being Math and found Emiliano on WyzAnt. The first couple visits proved most beneficial and Emiliano seemed to connect in a way with my son that others could not. Over the next few weeks, we started to see a marked improvement in my sons math grade along with his confidence levels. Over the course of the following 6 months, my sons grades in all subjects increased and his overall attitude toward school seemed to be improving greatly. Fast forward two years and Emiliano has not just been my sons tutor, but a mentor. My son, although he may say he does not need a tutor/mentor, if/when we need to reschedule sessions, he is the first to ask when the next time Emiliano is coming over. I would recommend Emiliano for being patient, understanding, flexible, consistent, knowledgeable and most of all compassionate toward the development of others."

"My daughter has always loved math but once she hit high school things changed .She was putting in so much effort but kept struggling. "When you first meet Emiliano you find a very personable, kind, and gentle demeanor that immediately takes the stress out of getting prepared for the ACT. I have three children and I have tried three different ways of tutoring for each. We have tried the large group tutoring and a small group tutoring with my first two kids. The value of the one on one tutoring was night and day in results. My son early on told Emiliano his goal was at least a 30. Emiliano told him that it would take diligence and hard work and my son took on that challenge. He would diligently work all of the homework Emiliano gave him and text him with any questions along the way. Emiliano always responded which was invaluable. Emiliano tutors at your choice of location which is worth its weight in gold! My son wanted to tutor at home and every week Emiliano faithfully arrived ready to tutor and tutor more hours if needed. He puts you on his schedule and honors that time before taking on other students so I advise you to hire him quickly! As a parent I encourage you to interact with Emiliano as he can help give you insight into ways your child can succeed. My son took the ACT more times than most would recommend, as people say you will level out after taking it X amount of times. I disagree; as my son was determined and so was Emiliano. He would score high on test sections and then lower in other sections and then flip and do the opposite on the next ACT test. In the end we laughed and said Emiliano was a counselor as he helped my son “get out of his head” and not only accomplish his goal but exceed it! I highly recommend Emiliano and just wish I had known about him with my first two kids."
